Re: Project won’t open anymore
This is a project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg They have to be in the same folder or location and they must have the same name as when they were made. If you drill down in the _DATA folder, all the little AU files are "real" six-second sound files and the...

Re: Corrupted audio tracks in 2.2.2
Are you using the older reference system where Audacity notes where the sound files are and doesn't make personal copies of them? If you are, where are the music files? Network or cloud drive? Are you jamming your whole show into one timeline instead of stacking all the parts top to bottom and creat...

Re: New and improved RMS-Normalize?
You're right. You weren't worthy.
I posted across to the elf restricted forum instead of general access. That's remarkably easy for me to do by accident because I'm an elf and there is no demarcation for me.
I changed the link to the plugin area.

Re: RMS Normalize
That was another problem the earlier tools had. They were aggressively input level dependent. There is a current audiobook poster struggling with that now. I think they're trying to use a one-size fitz-all tool and it's not going well. In RMS Normalize, the performance level is completely independen...

Re: Recording for Wedding Pre-Ceremony
Formats. 44100, 16-bit, Stereo WAV is the format of music on an Audio CD. You can go a long way before you run out of quality and the ability to do production. The video version of that is 48000, 16-bit, Stereo. If you're shooting Beyance', the studio may use 96000, 24-bit, Stereo. That's not recomm...

Re: Recording for Wedding Pre-Ceremony
Be careful with that. MP3 is an end-user format. That's the one you put on your iPod to go roller-blading or post to your podcast. If all you're going to do is listen to it, Nobody Cares. However, MP3 is a time bomb. If you intend to edit, produce, or cut down an MP3 into another MP3, the quality is...

Re: New and improved RMS-Normalize?
It's not perfect and it's possible to fake out the noise test, but ACX Check goes a long way toward production ease. If there was any doubt of why ACX Check exists, this is how to check your work without it.

Audiobook Mastering Version 4 document I have been patching that document to reflect recent changes. You may be worthy now. Depending on when you did it, we may have collided. Please check the link(s) and report any damage. I still have some links going back to kozco.com listings instead of Audacit...

Re: Audacity Freezes on Scree Saver
Is this a known problem? So that would be no. My El Capitan with Audacity 2.2.2 picks up right where it left off when I wake it. We're talking about Apple (upper left) > Sleep , right? I can sleep with a brief press of the power button on a MacBook Air. What else do you have running when it goes to...

Take another screen capture and show more of the timeline like in my pix.
