Re: Can't Sync 25FPS audio w/ 29.970 FPS video

An hour movie in 25 and an hour movie in 29.97 both take an hour to go by. It's only if you shoot the movie in one and try to project it in the other that you run into problems. Audacity default sample rate is 44100 and video is 48000. Could you be crossing those by accident? I wouldn't use Effect >...

Re: Getting into serious editing audio as I have with video

If you insert "clip boundaries" the cursor will accurately stick to them. Forever? Set clip boundaries and then go off scrolling around playing and stopping other places in the performance. Can you come back to those two exact spots? Nobody in audio editing has any good concept of Mark-In...

Re: Experiencing delay but fix from the manual isn't working

Do you like to or have you ever recorded internet sound or recorded sound playing on the computer? We need an answer to that. ... the one that I want to get rid of, is only coming through the left side of my headphones. When you plain, ordinary record your voice (no overdubbing), do you get your mi...

Re: Compressor

Did you try Chris's Compressor? Chris designed it so he could listen to wildly changing volume opera in a noisy car. I use it at a stiff correction setting for a favorite spoken word podcast that has no controls at all, but it may be perfect for you at its default setting. Most of the volume setting...

Re: Podcast improvement and removing clicks

How are you recording? What equipment are you using? Full size computer or a laptop? Just that. A majority of problems like this are caused by you using a computer. They are not audio recorders. They are general purpose computing machines and could, at any time, decide they have something more impo...

Re: FLAC vs 16-bit PCM vs 32-bit floar for Vinyl and Cassette

44100, 16-bit, Stereo WAV is the format of music on an Audio CD. You can go a long way before you run out of quality and the ability to do production. The video version of that is 48000, 16-bit, Stereo. WAV Microsoft is recognized on all three major computing platforms and has a very long life expec...
