(as it becomes painful and disturbing) . That's "A". "A" is the one used for Health and Safety. That's the one that hurts and over a time can cause actual damage. "A" ignores thunder, trucks going by and bat conversations. "A" concerns itself with Baby Scream...

Re: Using Audacity with 4 mics.
Behringer Q1202USB I suspect what you asked isn't what you want. You can totally mix all four microphones down to one show and record it in Audacity. The best way to do that is to have one separate, non-performing person sit in the corner with the mixer and headphones and critically adjust the volu...

Re: Recording bass guitar
I got one of the editors once to let me put a scope on his regular electric guitar—no amp—and I got what I thought was a soft, weak sister line volume out of it. I was pounding it. So that would be the "instrument" setting on interfaces. With a bass, I would assume switching to Line (volum...

Re: Recording bass guitar
- bass Actually, electric bass. So you have the pedal plugged into the 2i2 with a 1/4" cable, right? You can't use an XLR (3-pin) cable for this. You probably have the LINE/INST set to instrument, but that may not be best for a bass. Switch to LINE. Does the 2i2 volume knob turn red when you p...

Re: Showing lower frequencies on Spectrum
This meter has a socket on the side so you can send the sound to a recorder. That's when you get your spectrum plot. Analyze > Plot Spectrum has no zoom or crop features. The best you can do is grab the corner of the display and pull to get better resolution. The "Size" setting increases &...

What I should find is something between 100-135dB You left pieces out. "What I should find is ... 135dBSPL." Sound Pressure Level. Not audio sound level. SPL does go in positive numbers. You also need to specify which dBSPL. There are a bunch of weighing specs. The one used for Health and...

Re: Newbie problem: can only import audios as mono
Do you have Audacity set for stereo? Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices. The two device toolbars in the main screen should also say stereo. Screen Shot 2018-08-04 at 20.04.07.png Any luck? Which Zoom? I thought my Zoom would deliver WAV. That's a much better idea than lower quality, compressed ...

Re: Equalizing voices
Skype or Chat? Probably not. Audacity is not recommended for recording Apps like that. There's no good way to manage the sound channels and prevent volume problems. See if the App has a recommended capture technique or program. If you have an iPhone, you might be able to start it recording and set i...
