Re: Improved Voice Production Technique
I dare you to make a submission to ACX with this I was thinking about that. It might pass, not because of general shoddy QC, but from overwork. Every third person on earth is trying to read audiobooks (make a mint and retire to a seaside cottage on Mal de Mer, etc.) I was a good way into the perfor...

Re: Connect a microphone in a instrument trs conect
What are you plugging things into? A small mixer? A guitar amplifier? Computer? A dynamic microphone needs a preamplifier. The volume of a microphone is roughly a thousand times quieter than is needed to record or use for a performance. You have to boost it somewhere. Tell us what you're plugging it...

I have a note in to him; I found a link. Apparently, he's a respected human, assuming I found the right one. The moons and stars all lined up.
And yes, it is a good converter [writing that down]. So now you don't need to read any more.

Re: Proper recording method and tedious pop
I did a fake analysis from your first clip and I got it to pass technical conformance, but I had to work at it. How are you listening? Good, sealed headphones are recommended for analysis. When I listen, I can hear your computer in the background. I think that's what it is. The tone is a little off ...

Re: Proper recording method and tedious pop
I cuddled up inside my headphones and I can just hear the little pop as you stop and start the recording. See if P works better than that. You probably should not do that stop and start thing. You leave the wrong time between the segments. There isn't time for a normal human to take a breath, so I s...

Re: Proper recording method and tedious pop
then hit the space bar to pause. Spacebar stops the recording dead. That's not Pause. R starts it up cold. Try it with the P key. That is actually Pause and UnPause. I printed out my scripts because I like having the control of shuffling paper. I can select font size and type style so it's easy for...

Re: How do I activate the AGC?
Actually, there is a podcast sound standard, but it's a good deal more scrambled and disorganized than "legacy" and broadcast. Audacity has no published corrections and processes to get there.
I'll see if I can find it.

Re: How do I activate the AGC?
If you can't do it in post production, and Audacity doesn't do anything in pre-production, that lets us out of the game. Who's producing the work? ACX Audiobooks company has published technical standards for submitting work. They're cousins to broadcast standards. They send your submission to what w...
