Re: Equalization effect has no effect?
It acts like it's going to but then there's no change. That doesn't mean what you think it means. It means your sound system isn't high enough quality to hear the damage. Real P Popping produces a whump sound that moves the curtains and scares the cat. The equalizer (depending on how its used) gets...

Google didn't work for you, either? I don't think you're going to be able to automate it in the way you want. For one thing, it presupposes that nobody ever has to breathe or cough. Presentation errors will just kill you. Did somebody write that pronouncing the word and using it in a sentence have t...

Re: FLAC/WAV to MP3 (320 Kbps) --> 16 kHz cut-off
It's lovely surf, but I show no energy above 11800. When I export that to MP3, I show tones up to 14500...(!!) That's MP3 rearranging tones for more efficient compression. That's what gives you honky, talking into a wine glass vocal compression errors. That odd vocal tone is efficient to compress. Koz

If someone posts you need to go in and remove all your breaths, I don't agree. I think that's a perfect dramatic reading just as it is and I think ACX will agree.

Here. Watch. I'll do it again. Same settings. There is one difference to this one, I added gentle Noise Reduction of the Beast (6, 6, 6) at the very end of the process. Technically, it's not needed. You pass without it, but it sounds just a bit better with it. Drag-select a segment of clean room ton...

You got supersonically lucky. Your microphone system appears to be very well behaved and you don't need the extra protection of Low Rolloff. This is from the unprocessed clip. Screen Shot 2018-09-22 at 18.26.29.png Chapter 8 sample 2 ModifiedMastering-4.wav ================= So this is High Pass: 40...

I will see if I can spot the difference between LF Rolloff and High Pass (though I'm guessing that Rolloff might be more flexible). If you have a low pitched announcing voice, you will notice a much fuller and firmer voice with High Pass. The down side is High Pass may allow more home microphone er...

Re: Irregular clicking that won't stop despite following forum suggestions
Other notes. When you experience sound problems, do they happen in exactly the same places every time? Can you do anything to make them worse? "When I load several programs in addition to Audacity, the problem gets much worse!!" as an example. If you've been through days of corrections and...

Re: Irregular clicking that won't stop despite following forum suggestions
And that's another variation. I don't hear anything wrong. That's not a gold standard, and other elves may find problems, but I think that clip is good to go. So if you hear ticking and clicking, you may have playback problems, not recording problems. What else do you have that will play music? Sepa...
