Re: Is there a way to fix plosives
Use a High Pass Filter on the plosive. What settings would you use? Somebody new to Audacity would have no idea what those numbers mean. Using Chase's podcast segment as an example, he has plosives about every two or three seconds. How long was your podcast? I think his podcast is still posted, but...

There is another way to mess this up. Go > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup. Problems with that are pretty rare and I keep forgetting it's back there. With some digital interfaces, it basically goes on vacation and all the settings freeze.

I want to see that, too. There are only two versions of Stereo Line-In. On the larger and older MacBook Pros (and current Mini) , it looked like this. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg The only other option is the 13" MBP which only had room for one hole. You could do bot...

Re: Device in Use error preventing stereo recording
The signal on the right channel input is not recorded. Right. So your system is being forced to record Left-MONO instead of stereo. Drivers may be the first place to go look for problems like that. Audacity does not apply effects, filters or corrections to incoming audio. Whatever Windows sends dow...

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds032124 Screen Shot 2018-10-02 at 9.54.10.png I wonder if this is the software for your fancy, built-in soundcard. The Behringer doesn't need that. USB devices don't go through the soundcard. The soundcard job is inside the UFO202. I'm not the best Windows...

Re: Device in Use error preventing stereo recording
The only thing I can think of that's odd is the driver. I didn't think the simpler Behringer adapters needed one. They're all class compliant—unpack it, plug it in and go.Device driver is Conexant, with 3/30/18 driver update.

Re: Can we use mono mic to fill both channels with Audacity 2.2.2?
It's difficult to ask that person to re-record it with lower input level. Accept this one with the damage and send them a note to record lower volume next time. I can see those red vertical lines (clippings). How can we remove such clippings without affect the sound quality with Audacity 2.2.2 You ...

One other note. Audacity does not apply filters, effects or corrections during recording. Whatever Windows gives to Audacity, that's what Audacity records.

Re: question about recording levels
This one? https://www.iobit.com/en/advancedsystemcarefree.php I've never heard of system software creating problems such as this. There have been times when a virus protection package tried to protect the user from Audacity producing sound files, but that's usually the difference between having musi...
