Re: Couldn’t find the project data folder

But when I press ok. Right. Because it's not associated with Audacity as it should be. You may Google this one. I don't know how to set it in Windows. On my machines, I can get info on the AUP file and in the info panel it tells me the app associated with my file. Screen Shot 2018-11-03 at 20.43.30...

Re: Couldn’t find the project data folder

in the same folder you guys said it had to be seperated. You suggested that you put the AUP file inside the _DATA folder. That doesn't work. The AUP file and the _DATA folder will not go looking for each other through your computer file system, so they have to be separated from each other but close...

Re: Making sounds sound like they are corrupted

I want to make a sound sound like it is corrupted That's like describing the standard car crash. I'm not sure if I worded it right... What's the show? Why do you want that? There's one dangerous reason to garble somebody's voice. That's to make it so they can't be recognized. First, you can't actua...

Re: Couldn’t find the project data folder

Can you get this if the AUP file is no longer associated with Audacity? I can't think of why this would fail. The AUP file and the _DATA folder have to be the same name and it has to be the name they were given in Audacity. No fair changing it later. The AUP file and _DATA folder need to live in the...

Re: [Audacity] Issues with long recordings (1-2 hours)

Almost like you're running out of drive space... How large is your internal drive, how much free space do you have, are you using it for production as you should, and when was the last time you manually defragged it? If it's a spinning metal hard drive it's good to keep it roomy and in good order. A...

Re: Preferences while recording vocal

You were fuzzy/foggy until you said you had connected the backing track to mixer 7/8. Ding! That's not how it works. If you set the smaller mixer as both playback and record USB devices, it may start working, too. Play something in Audacity and you should be able to listen to it on the mixer headpho...

Re: clipping

If you have a digital level of +100dB, something's wrong! Yeah. That can't be right. You must have the numbers or the system wrong. 0dB digital sound translates roughly to one volt analog. Audio doubles every 6. That puts 100dB as the voltage of a national power transmission grid. Screen Shot 2018-...

Re: No mic signal via Firewire

I also get a good input signal and record to Audacity from my browser when I play music vids on YouTube I think that's the problem right there. You should not be able to do that. Recording from a browser requires special software or drivers. Sometimes those drivers will not let you record normally....
