Re: I think I've messed it up again - please help!
I need to leave.. The forum is staffed by volunteers and we all need to leave now and again for Real Life. I try to warn people I'm coming back. If there is no warning, then I may be leaving the messages up to a different forum elf. I'm only a few chapters in One of the warnings is not to read the ...

Re: Total Audacity noob here
This is a how-to for producing a forum test. The forum will only allow you to post about 20 seconds of mono (one blue wave). http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Everybody misses the first step, two seconds of normal room noise. Hold your breath and Do Not Move for that two...

I don't know how to post a quote, so please bear with me: You can do it the way you did it. We're pretty resilient. You can type something, drag-select it and then tick the quote mark icon above the text, you can tick the quote mark icon and then start typing. Or you can actually type those bracket...

Re: muffled audio problem
like its underwater. slightly muffled. That's two different things. Muffled can be you're recording from your laptop microphone by mistake or you have your directional microphone turned around. As a fuzzy rule with most microphones you talk into the company name. Here's a scratch test I shot. http:...

Write down how you did that before you change anything. The old time radio effect is pretty remarkable. It sounds a lot like 1962 BBC1.
