Re: recording without room ambiance
Could you send a copy of your answer to my email bobATbossinDOTcom? Thanks. bb That would be no. This isn't a help desk. It's a forum with volunteers and users helping each other. Also, we try to keep discussions on the forum so many people can benefit from the work. https://manual.audacityteam.org...

Re: Sudden volume drop
Did the webcam come with drivers? Are you shocked that one of the recommendations for reading high quality audiobook material is stop using the computer....... I have no idea how to check for that stuff in Windows. A Windows forum elf will be along. Or Google. Have you fresh started your machine? In...

And don't confuse Recording Latency with Machine Latency. Audacity has adjustments so you can make your new, live track match the backing track exactly. It's part of Overdubbing Setup. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_multi_track_overdubs.html It's most unlikely you can listen ...

Re: Sudden volume drop
That's textbook Environment or Voice Processing. Oh, I guess step one is Audacity doesn't apply anything during recording . One major difference between background noise, hum or other sound and your voice is the duration. If you have one sound there for an extended time, it must be noise therefore w...

Re: Inexperienced w/ Audacity 2.0.6. Need Help!
Is this the wrong Audacity version? 2.0.6 doesn't have Vocal Reduction and Isolation. 2.0.6 Vocal Remover only has Remove Vocals option.

Re: Multiple Outputs and DMX?
I think it's still true Audacity supports mono and stereo outputs and that's full stop. With the right software and connections Audacity can record multiple tracks and there is a support forum for that. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=38626 I think Audacity recognizes what MI...

Yes. You have to filter out the Clueless Users and people with an Agenda. I look for multiple different complaints about the same thing.negative ones seem either misinformed or inconsequential.
And no, I don't believe the product will provide world peace and cure cancer.

Re: Total Audacity noob here
The H4 has a setting where it turns itself into a memory card player for the computer. It mounts in the computer like an external hard drive. Drag your sound files over and go home. That doesn't need ASIO, either. Seems I have a bigger problem. So the packaging is User Resistant? I've had packaging ...
