Re: Trying to download Nyquist Analyze
This is where I warn you that ACX Check can be fooled. It needs at least 3/4 second of clean room tone (background sound) to measure Noise. In general, a straight narrative reading doesn't have silences quite long enough to work. Give it a second (or longer) of dead quiet before you start presenting...

Re: Announcer sound effect
We still don't have a You > Announcer tool. If the goal is transforming your voice, we can only do the effects parts, not the announcing parts.
That's why Text To Speech is becoming so popular. Nobody needs to know how to read out loud.

Re: Announcer sound effect
And you can do something like that with the Audacity tools. OilsEcho.mp3 You need to start with a stereo track. If you have a mono voice track, duplicate it and using the left-hand drop-down menu > Make Stereo Track. Same menu > Split stereo track (not to mono) > Time Shift Tool > push the bottom tr...

Re: cannot get track onto my iPhone?
Is there an Apple Store near you? Genius Bar or Classes? That may be faster than trying to find an Apple expert with experience in this area on the forum. As above, we can talk you through making the sound and creating the files, but beyond that, Apple Music Management is a black hole. I compare it ...

Re: Files double in size when 'Compressed'
I have attached a picture of the Macro I use to manipulate the Audio Files. I didn't see any pictures in your post. Compression specifications can be a little wacky because they're content dependent. It's not like WAV where if you have a three minute show, it's always going to give you a certain si...

Re: I Really Need Help Fixing My Audacity Recording
We help people all the time, but you do have to send us a sound file. An AUP is an Audacity Project Management text file.

Re: Odd shortcuts for zoom in/out
It's worse than that. Audacity has a suite of zooming tools. You're only viewing a limited set. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/zooming.html I only ever use three. Control-E (zoom into selection), Control-F (zoom out full) and Control-3 (zoom out a little bit. Taken by themselves, they make no s...

Re: Removing background music from a trailer
Karaoke-solution Don't fall in love with that, either. The karaoke-solution fails most of the time. The lead singer should be in the exact left-right middle of the stereo field. The performance has to be in perfect stereo with no compression artifacts (no MP3's). The instruments have to not be in t...
