Re: high pitched buzz / humming noise

USB microphone? Which one? Does it sound like this? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/clips/USBMicrophoneWhineClip.mp3 If that's it, we have a pre-baked correction for it (usually). If that's not it, post a sample to the forum. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=72887 Ignore the in...

Re: How do I connect 2 mp3 files back to back to make 1 song?

one of the 2 links you provided I googled those. We used to have a preferred list, but there are a number of simple editors out there now. Audacity doesn't edit audio files. It edits sound content. When it gets done, it has to make a new sound file and that's what causes problems. If you do that to...

Re: How do I connect 2 mp3 files back to back to make 1 song?

Yes, but. That's not the restriction. You can't edit or do MP3 post production without introducing distortion. You can work around this by exporting the new MP3 in a much higher quality (larger files) than the originals, or don't export in MP3. Use WAV or other perfect format. If you export the new ...

Re: USB Flash Drive in Car - No Sound

WAV files ripped from Audio CD are in 16-bit 44100 format. Try that. 24-bit format and 96000Hz sample rate is a recording studio format. I would not expect your car to be able to play them. It's also great overkill for vinyl rips, but if you want to retain those for archive, that's fine. Just downsa...

Re: Sync audio and video

Audacity will open the sound part of many video formats. You need a video editor or video app to put the corrected audio and original video together.

Re: Audio is Distorted upon importing project

convert it to a midi file, and I have heard that Audacity's is the only really good one to do it That may be the first problem. Audacity only has very beginner MIDI tools. Very few programs can start with a mixed song and convert it to MIDI which is why you're having problems. MIDI is a programming...

Re: Sync audio and video

since it doesn't handle videos. I need to sync the audio from an audio recorder to the video from a video camera
I'm just reading that again. If you're recording with a separate recorder (not Audacity) and you're editing in a separate video editor, what do you need Audacity for?

Re: Sync audio and video

Sure, but you should try it as a long test or two before you start recording the governor of your state. If you're recording on a laptop, there's lists of things that can go wrong. Stuttering and skipping problems from choking hard drives, vocal distortion from Windows default internal corrections, ...

Re: How to identify affirmations in subliminal audios? thanks

Didn't the web page give you any hint at all what it was supposed to do? "Affirmation" is a pretty broad/fuzzy area. I can't get Stuart Smalley out of my head. I wonder if there isn't anything in it but water and it's intended to "open you up" to other thoughts and patterns in th...

You probably don't have to deal with 25 knot winds in the park (that's what the fuzzy covering does), but they also use it to suppress other people, dogs, traffic, etc.
