Behringer x2222 mixer via supplied cable to HP laptop. You didn't say X222USB. Is this not the USB version of the mixer? If it's not, you should connect to the computer with a USB adapter such as the Behringer UCA-202 or equivalent. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo-650.jpg ...

Re: How to remove coughs, sneezes, etc. sounds of vocal speeches
Audacity can't split a recording into individual voices, instruments and sounds. If there was a good, cheap, effective way to do that, the newsies would stop doing this instantly. Screen Shot 2017-03-07 at 21.50.49.png That's not to say it's impossible. There are desperation methods. -- Get the perf...

Re: ACX sample submission - passing on everything except noise floor
We'll be able to do concrete evaluations when the poster submits a sound sample. Everything up until now has been guesses, projections and what possibly could be happening.

Re: ACX sample submission - passing on everything except noise floor
So it's noisy. There is a comment of the microphone having a "metalic" sound. Microphones don't generally do that, but that can be a result of excessive noise reduction. Which brings us around to: It's noisy. Condenser microphones have a little transistor in there to match the very delicat...

all my other drives "All your other drives?" How many do you have and how are they connected? Saving live recordings to other than roomy, well-behaved internal drives is not recommended. Saving to network-connected drives is highly not recommended. I can't be the only one this has happene...

Re: Cutting volume is it possible
My idea is to cut or copy the volume at certain points like 1.0 to 0.5 the then paste this and invert it What's the show? Why are we doing this? The problem with Keypex® or gating effects as above, is they don't sound at all natural and they're rough to adjust. You just get it to sound like you wan...

Re: ACX sample submission - passing on everything except noise floor
I'm recording with a neewer NW-7000 USB mic with a pop filter (which has a number of good reviews on amazon + elsewhere for this application). Does anybody hate it? I generally look for the negative reviews and pay particular attention if several of them say the same thing using different words. As...

Re: ACX sample submission - passing on everything except noise floor
Post a sample of your work. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Don't process or do anything to it (other than cut if needed and convert to mono). Just shoot it, export it and post it. If your conditions are as you say they are, there may be something else wrong and the no...
