I wonder why that doesn't work on my machine.
I didn't find labels all that useful. They fall apart the first show edit. Clap is much better.

Re: Keyboard Key to jump to next clipped audio region?
One more. Shift-Scrollwheel will let you shift the timeline forward and backward. I think there's a version for touchpad, too. Yes. Shift-Two Finger Drag on my machine. It's very common, when audiobook narrators make a mistake, we CLAP our hands. Then we fix it later The more information you give us...

Re: Keyboard Key to jump to next clipped audio region?
I would be using the zoom tools. I only ever use three. Control-F to zoom out to the Full show. Drag-select the area around one of the red marks and zoom into it with Control-E (sElection). If you're not in far enough, drag-select and Control-E again. If you overdo it, zoom out a little bit with Con...

Re: Keyboard Key to jump to next clipped audio region?
I don't think so and I can't think of a way to "fake it" with other tools. Someone else will post. A little red line is the tool that allows you to find clipping points. There used to be no tools to do that. Clipping usually happens in bunches like this. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/...

Re: History of effects after saving project
I briefly looked through the help system for a different editor, one that did actually save UNDO with its projects. Universally, Every Help Post was a complaint how large the shows were. You can use Chains/Batch/Macros to collect different effects in one place so they can be applied all at once just...

Re: Gain vs. Mouthnoises
Seems like a nice microphone, but condenser microphones can be overly crisp and boost any mouth noises you have. Record and post a little sound sample. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Use some of the words you know you have trouble with and stick to actual narrative, n...

Re: Gain vs. Mouthnoises
You have the order backwards from the Mastering Suite. You perform Low Rolloff to get rid of rumble, bus and truck thumping noises before the other tools. Then RMS Normalize to set loudness (I think I used -20). That can produce some troublesome peaks which surrender to Soft Limiter. https://forum.a...
