You haven't actually mastered anything yet, right? It's not just making it louder. Mastering is only three effects, but they interact with each other and each one helps the sound along. I thought they just can't exceed 20 seconds. That's correct, but you can slide over a bit longer and the forum will accept it. Some clean background sound is super important. DTS has one thing that WAV doesn't. A Registered Trademark and licensing fees.indicate that DTS-HD is actually a superior format to WAV PCM 16-bit

You don't get a surround option. You get a list of supported companies or services and they deal with surround. And you don't get any of that without the FFMpeg software install.
