Re: Increase the volume of a whispering voice
Probably not a Support Elf. But this is a forum, users helping each other. Anyone can post. Please note that the Audacity Forum has screamingly fast response time compared to other forums. Active elves over 9 time zones. Other help forums can take weeks to settle a question. What is the actual job? ...

I don't, but others may post.

Re: I can't find the chains library!
Depending on which Audacity you have, chains is now called " Macros" I've never used either one, but can't you Drag-Select the programming and copy - paste to a text file? Desperation method is screen capture and send it as a picture. Shift-Command-3 the whole screen or Shift-Command-4 and...

If you have mixed sound, Amplify will boost the loudest thing. So if the real problem is to split a whispering voice from a load of background nois...

Re: SCREAMING WITH FRUSTRATION

Recording internet sound is a special case and requires specific intentional signal pathway management (or special hardware). That's very different from recording your own microphone. That's...

Re: how to fix corrupted m4a file from iPhones Voice Memo App
The screen had locked and when she unlocked the screen, the app had somehow frozen. You had two real-time supervisory processes fighting each other. The lock screen is security level, so it won. I would have thought having a recording in progress would prevent the lock screen from activating. That'...

I know this is a blow, but you should go to great effort to find out what went wrong if you don't already know. If you make a third recording, is it trash, too? My guess is that it won't make a third recording.

Re: Remove Drum beats from Vocals
There is another simpler technique for single instrument management. Cut (a copy of) the song so you have a "pile" of only that instrument—as much as possible. Use the pile as Effect > Noise Reduction > Profile. Then apply Noise Reduction to the whole song. As long as you don't restart Aud...
