Re: ACX say my RMS is too low
Thank you for posting your sound sample. I have asked ACX to tell me what they want They do have postings with reading requirements. https://www.acx.com/help/acx-audio-submission-requirements/201456300 But I don't think that's the problem. I was able to apply our ACX Mastering tools and I got your s...

Re: Difficulty Creating a Macro
When you get done reading a chapter or whatever bunch of words suits you, Export WAV 44100, 16-bit sound file. Copy it somewhere safe. That's your backup for when you get in the middle of a complex edit and the computer or Audacity goes face-first in the dirt and takes your sound with it. Clean up, ...

Re: Difficulty Creating a Macro
because of that first step issue. And the first step issue was because of something actually broken in Audacity. Nothing to do with your work. I discovered the workaround almost by accident. I did get different curves to stick time after time seemingly at random, but on one machine, I knew exactly ...

Re: How do i get my audio to stop overlapping? i.e, out of sync, and audio drift?
They're also at the same speed. I can't account for the second-by-second wandering. Wild guess: MP3 and whatever compression YouTube is using aren't one process. They're dynamic. They shuffle tone, balance and musical expression around slightly so the filesize is tiny without anybody being able to ...

Re: De-Ess Plug-In For Audacity
Number One is Audiobook Mastering and no EQ. One has "SS" sounds that will drill wood and fog glass. Steckler-Mastered.wav Two is the same clip with DeEsser carefully applied and tuned. Someone posted the DeEsser defaults could use work. They're right. Steckler-Mastered-DeEsser.wav Three i...

Re: De-Ess Plug-In For Audacity
Thanks. This is DeCrisper1. Screen Shot 2019-03-10 at 19.44.08.png The object was to find the little high-pitched "haystack" that these microphones cause and gently squash it back to where's it's supposed to be. This is a Before. That's 5KHz to 10KHz haystack or harsh presence boost. 5KHz-...

Re: How do i get my audio to stop overlapping? i.e, out of sync, and audio drift?
How do I fix this please? You may not. Where did the two tracks come from? Your error sounds like two different passes of a phonograph. My Empire turntable weighs more than a Land Rover to get around this speed change thing. If your music came from an electronic turntable then that's the way it is....

Re: Small Waveform
What he said. There's four different ways to set volume on that mixer. Make sure the PAD (upper left) is not selected. Set GAIN (upper left) higher. Don't max out LEVEL (Lower left). I think the red knob lower right is master volume? I can't read it in your picture. Set that higher. You should be ab...

Re: Filtering a soft conversation from a louder one
Nope. Sorry. It's a download. That can create its own problems. YouTube productions are highly compressed and don't lend themselves to post production. There was a forum posting from someone who produced a radio show using his live voice but music samples from download. He submitted to a radio stati...

Re: new to Mac
Here it is. You have to give Audacity permission to use the microphone.
