Re: I can not record just one voice
That's the Renegade Sound problem. This drives the overdubbing people nuts. The computer somehow mixes all the tracks together instead of just recording the performer, although yours may be easier to solve. I am recording a podcast with several speakers with audacity, everyone is using is recording ...

Re: marking tracks on a burned music CD
Export the mix as individual songs through the Label method. In your CD Authoring and Burning program, place the sound files in the order needed and then select "No Gap Between Songs." You know you have the wrong burner if it doesn't ask you that. The default gap between songs is two secon...

I read that three times and I can't figure out what you're trying to do. Describe the job.

Re: Audacity File dropped audio in random places
We can wait and see if anyone posts back.
Audacity doesn't offer paid services.
You should plan for what happens if the file doesn't come back.

Re: Unwanted reverb on overdub
people aren't allowed to edit their posts? It's a terrible idea. It makes the service dialog impossible to follow. Say you have a difficult problem and a month's worth of messages. Nobody is going to read all those postings repeatedly against the possibility you decided to change two important word...

I did notice this. View > Show Clipping. There will be little red lines at all the places where the sound is too loud. Screen Shot 2019-03-20 at 19.58.30.png Those overload points will sound crisp and crunchy. Not at all clean. Record at a lower volume. The backing track and your live voice are on s...

Re: Telephone recording
This is one clip with a computer and Startech and one with an Olympus hand-recorder. It's a little muffled because the microphone records my side through bone conduction and it works best when I have a phone jammed against my head.

Re: Telephone recording
When you speak to HP, tell them you have a computer microphone with 1/8" Ring Tip Sleeve connection. That should get them home. Computers have been supplying that connection for billions of years and just recently, they got one connection to do a lot of different jobs—sometimes. Your TP8 will g...
