Re: Issues with simple waveform recording
There's another odd problem. Your expectations and the computer's delivery may be different. If you listen to both of those sound clips, they sound remarkably similar. So any normal person would think everything was OK. It's only you, who is expecting the accuracy of a multi-hundred dollar sound car...

Re: Issues with simple waveform recording
I have been having an issue recording audio on my Windows 10 laptop. Probably not. You're having trouble recording playback or internet sound in Audacity. That's very different from plugging a microphone in the side of the computer and recording that. There is no natural pathway to play an internal...

Re: I can not record just one voice
The Skype recording technique is only available for Skype calls. There is provision for calling into Skype from any cellphone and any landline (used to be at extra cost). You may not do that in a recorded call. https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12395/how-do-i-record-my-skype-calls The recording is ...

desperation method. I'm not being funny there. Anybody who does this for pay knows how to do the job -and- how to do the job if everything goes into the toilet. The desperation method. "The interview crashed, but I have a backup on my cellphone." There doesn't seem to be any good way arou...

Re: I can not record just one voice
Is there a guide or way to find the origin of this renegade problem on the pc? If there was we would tell you. Our job is to solve problems like this, but this problem has stayed hidden. you maybe know a program that allows you to record a conference call with all separate tracks? Some of the best ...

Re: Telephone recording
I have two, One TP7 and one TP8. One at home and the other for field use. They back each other up. In the field I use the hand-held recorder.I'm waiting for a new TP8 to arrive today

Re: Telephone recording
Voice Recorder no longer records the other voice in telephone conversations. I don't think it ever did. It's been a constant problem. When you have the microphone installed in your ear, you can tap it with your fingernail for sound testing. If your system is set for low volume, just speaking loudly...

Re: Understanding sound levels
are talking about writing an academic paper about it! How's that for a shot in the arm? So we might be talking about the non-home option. Record in a professional studio and let them worry about sound levels or have someone with a known good track record read it for you. Several forum posters have ...

Re: Understanding sound levels
I'm loathe to add any processing to something that sounds good in its natural state. "Sounds Good" is the second ACX test. Human Quality Control. But to get there you have the pass automated testing (The Robot) and that's where most home readers fall over. That's why it's automated. It's ...

Re: marking tracks on a burned music CD
Does that get around the crossfade problem, especially if you're starting with one long mixed song? The master might have speed changes if it was made on a DJ mix console.Cue Sheet.
