ACX Check is not without its flaws. It needs to see at least 3/4 second of pure, clean background noise somewhere in the performance to give an accurate Noise or NoiseFloor reading. If it doesn't find it, it will measure whatever it can find and display that. If that's you shuffling in your chair or...

True, but this isn't normal. The presentation, as I understand it, is small sections of dialog amid longer than normal sections of silence. The sort of thing that might throw off RMS Normalize, designed for conversational flow.the show has been mixed down to a single track.

I can't think of a way to do this.
Have a quantity of Room Tone available.
Drag-select some damaged voice presentation. Press some button combination and the just the right amount of Room Tone is inserted instead of the damage. No show length change.

2/3 home. Right-click or Control-Tap the file > Get INFO. Scroll down to Name and Extension. Do Not hide the extension. Get rid of the .txt on the end. The download service did that by accident. What does the Onyx setting say? Manufacturers have the option of custom labeling the connection or not. Did yours?Audacity (desktop toolbar) > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Device. Does the Onyx show up there?

Apparently, they've fallen in love with those samples and they get sent out whether you passed or not.He also sent along a zipped attachment of good & bad samples

Are they ASIO drivers? Audacity doesn't easily support ASIO. I expect Audacity to recognize the Mackie and work with no drivers.
