I did save it. I need to get better at writing down where.

I'm on the edge of my seat for that sound test. It's only ten seconds. Hold your breath for two seconds and announce for eight. Export WAV. Couldn't be simpler.

Re: Problem in recording audio from other side
Both Skype and Zoom offer system recording features (on their servers). Zoom in particular has individual recording features where you can go in and retrieve individuals as sound files. If you go this route it is very highly recommended that every person in the conference be wearing headphones or ea...

Re: recording speed / compared to Easy voice recorder App (iOS)
You can get speed problems if your systems are running with different sample rates. There's a simple way to fix this in post production editing. Note the good and bad performance durations. Run Effect > Change Speed on the bad performance and put the two durations in the boxes at the bottom of the t...

Re: Audacity not recognizing line from keyboard
That's how I do it. My Yamaha keyboard digital output is MIDI only. I record the analog headphone signal. https://www.kozco.com/tech/organfinale.mp3 MIDI is machine control. It tells something else how to make music. Because it's machine control, you can do tricks like tell the system to sound diffe...

Re: how to remove/reduce unwanted background noise from recording of 2 person's conversation.
Probably not. That's one of the four guaranteed ways to kill a voice recording. We can't split two different performances from each other in a mixed show.the recording was made by mobile phone and the background noise was a song running on loud speakers of neighbors.

Re: Hard to remove electrical noise from guitar audio
It still sound just like a normal fuzz guitar performance to me. I don't hear anything I would call electrical interference. Any way to post a sound test without the extra electronics so we know what "normal" is. I don't think there's any way to fix that into a normal-sounding guitar. Once...

Will do this ... [sound test] ... as soon as I get a chance. That's super important right now. This will likely tell us where the noise is coming from. director monitor glows green Direct Monitor. That's the one that lets you hear yourself 'direct' from the Solo instead of listening to Audacity whi...

Stay in Audacity 2.4.2. There's a new Audacity 3 coming out.

Re: Zoom H2N-noise when recording direct to Audacity thru USB audio interface
I'm stumped why a recording in GarageBand comes in at almost half the background noise that Audacity does. Neither one applies effects, filters, or corrections during recording (that I know of) and they're both using the identical analog converter (the H2n). If somebody presented that to me in a mov...
