Why are you telling them anything if you already know how to solve this problem? Isn't the setting in Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Security and Privacy?

Right. I forgot. As DVDDoug above, The 2i2 is a stereo interface and likes using two microphones and it gives you two blue waves when you record. After you import the first track, de-select it by clicking anywhere in a blank workspace. Then import the second.
