Re: Problems using 2 Yeti Blue USB mics at once in Audacity on a MacBook
we set them up under Aggregate Device in Audio MIDI Setup. You can force two USB microphones to work on a Mac, but you probably shouldn't. Did you notice the Aggregate Setup asked which microphone you wanted as a master? The system is going to use that one microphone for show timing and the other m...

Re: How To Save Clips To Use For Noise Reduction
Oh. Right. The original question. When you get an original raw recording of a performance, make a copy of it and move that copy to Some Other Place. Thumb Drives, External Hard Drives, Cloud Storage all work. It's a New User mistake to shoot something, apply corrections and then post it all in one s...

Re: How To Save Clips To Use For Noise Reduction
If the performance is relatively even in volume, you might try Noise Gate. https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Noise_Gate Noise Gate tries to recognize low volume noise as "evil" and then tries to remove it. This can work OK in a relatively well-behaved performance, ...

Re: "Banging" sound in background
Does the damage appear at the same place every time you play the work? No, different times. So it's a playback problem and you don't have to post a sample of the work. I won't hear the noise because it's not in the show. Do you have a music player or second computer? Export the work to a sound file...

Re: noise added above 13 kHz
but it can also be heard in normal speed I wonder if something else is broken. The default dithering signal is not audible in normal production. Post a screen shot of what your normal sound looks like on the timeline. This is approximately correct. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/AudacityRec...

Re: Too compressed Rejection
The sound file is "legal", but it doesn't sound very good. Sometimes, ACX will reject noise, not because the noise is high, but because you used too much noise reduction or other processing and made the words sound funny. I don't think you used ACX Mastering, because your ACX RMS and ACX P...

Re: Remove Unwanted noise
This dance is one of the reasons you might want to record live performances on something other than the computer. The fuzzy rule is look for another way if you struggle with the computer longer than about two weeks. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/ZoomH4Recorder-500T.jpg That's an old Zoom H4 sta...

Re: Remove Unwanted noise
removing those unwanted noise completely? No, but we can suppress it. Record a portion over a second or two with the fan noise only . No breathing, talking, shuffling or other noises. Then talk or play as normal for five or ten seconds. Stop. Drag-select that silent portion and Effect > Noise Reduc...
