Re: Is there a way to merge/smooth audio re-recordings effectively?
If you have the chance and you catch it ahead of time, pause.....and take the sentence again right then. That is amazingly easier to patch than trying it to re-announce it next week and drop the correction in. You will recognize all these tricks and solutions as you get more experience. You must hav...

Re: Is there a way to merge/smooth audio re-recordings effectively?
You're in the steep part of the learning curve. Make corrections in whole sentences because that's a lot easier to drop into the show. Do Not make changes in the production setup until the show is delivered. Half-way through Tuesday's show is a terrible time to get a new microphone. Wearing headphon...

Re: Is there a way to merge/smooth audio re-recordings effectively?
the parts recorded at different times flow together better and more cohesively Probably not. Proximity effect and presence effects are rough to change. Are you sure the mismatches are not just volume changes? The new work is louder or softer than the old? You can find that from the sizes (tallness)...

Re: How to record 2 tracks from separate sources into 2 tracks?
I have a weekly (pre-recorded) radio show Those are fuzzy words. You are producing a radio show and submitting it for broadcast? Are you playing the music live or using MP3 or other prepared music? Is the music tightly bound to the voice or is it just intro, outro, stingers? There was a forum poste...

Re: I think I've messed it up again - please help!
How does one actually make money doing this? Two ways: -- You get hired to do the voice track for someone's production/movie/show. -- You submit to a company such as ACX (Audible) and they put audiobooks up for sale on their various companies and production offices. You get a cut. I have several au...

Re: I think I've messed it up again - please help!
Would it help if I was under the duvet, instead of on top? Yes, but you won't be able to read that way for long. You do have to occasionally breathe. There was a posting from someone who did exactly that on camera as an illustration of what happens to the sound clarity and echo suppression—that you...

Re: Missing Windows Lame File
It only does that in Audacity 2.3.2. Earlier Audacity versions had to be patched. https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ Audacity 2.3.2 is a major change from earlier versions. It's a 64-bit app now, so computers will stop complaining about that and, as above, it has the MP3 software built-i...

Re: I think I've messed it up again - please help!
Any suggestions? Chasing clicks and pops is a career move. I pulled down your H G Wells presentation, ran it through mastering and noise reduction of the beast. It passes ACX and it's pleasant to listen to. If I did anything to it at all it would be getting rid of that slight talking-in-a-box sound...

Re: recording level
Does the receiver have a Line-Out? You may have to disconnect the speakers and listen to the computer during recordings, but that does give you control of the volume. Line-Out should follow the receiver volume control.Coming out of tape monitor on my receiver
