Re: Clicks are driving me nuts!

Oh. One more. Focusrite ASIO settings 44.1 kHz , buffer 128 It's nice you did that, but plain Audacity doesn't support ASIO services. What happens if you just stop using the Focusrite drivers and plug the 2i2 into the computer and go. The machine should work with any normal mono or stereo sound adap...

Re: Right sound gone?

I have a Shure X2U XLR mono microphone to USB adapter. I intentionally overloaded it and this is what it looks like Screen Shot 2019-06-05 at 19.44.18.png One of the reasons this adapter lives in a box in the garage is low volume. I've never used it anything other than turned all the way up and I ha...

Re: Right sound gone?

And to bring this completely around, If you set up for mono with a mono device or interface, you get a single blue wave and only the Left bouncing sound meter.

Re: Right sound gone?

I got good feedback on the quality Probably "opinion" or "review." Not Feedback.. ____eeeeEEEEEEEEEEEE. There is one proof you can do. I expect you to be able to speak very loudly ( never blow into a microphone) and intentionally peak Audacity—make the bouncing sound meter turn ...

Re: Right sound gone?

I think we're going off in all directions. The Scarlett Solo is one of the native mono devices. I expect it to deliver full volume correct sound with Audacity set to record Mono—probably as you had it up until now. If you set Audacity for Stereo, the Solo will give you two channels with the one micr...

Re: Zoom H1n

H1nTechnicalSetup.jpg This is the technical setup in my photo studio. The shoot would be set up just like that on the messy desk in my quiet third bedroom (which doesn't photograph well). I locked the ticking Ikea wall clock in the bathroom, turned off the sound mixer with the hummy power supply an...

Re: Niquist ACX check nightmare

I dont normalise as all the waveforms are in the same place and still pass the test....Any advise or help?? Just that the Mastering Suite should be used in order, not in pieces. It is a suite of tools, a harmonious grouping. They clean up after each other. In general, if a tool isn't needed, it doe...

Re: Niquist ACX check nightmare

This is a little scrambled. The test process is not in all one place. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=100504 https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=371131#p371131 I failed the test sample I sent in a while ago due to excessive noise reduction tone on my voice That's v...

Re: I think is a good quality but RMS is out of standards

You can send a short test to ACX before you read a whole book. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=100504 Screen Shot 2019-06-04 at 07.45.27.png Screen Shot 2019-06-04 at 07.46.39.png That and the sample has to conform to their technical standards: Peak, RMS, Noise. When you appl...
