Re: Music through a wall
Large rattly speakers The rattle will not make it through the wall. concrete walls You can get concrete walls to not pass much of anything. How about your show takes place in an old wooden frame house? You can throw a little Hollywood in there. One actor says, "Isn't that the music system from...

Re: How does ACX check evaluate noise level?
The "Acx-check.ny" code: Oh. Can we assume that's to keep it from responding to DC Offset? I wonder if the ACX Robot is set to catch DC offset....? I think I would rather catch it here than to wait two weeks while the ACX Testing Service reports back. Even worse they might report "So...

Re: How does ACX check evaluate noise level?

Re: How does ACX check evaluate noise level?
then passed it through Limiter with a Soft limit at -3dB. I wouldn't do that. The mastering recommendation is soft limit to -3.5dB. Nobody is going to miss that half dB, but the conversion between WAV and MP3 can cause errors that large. Wouldn't you be upset if a quarter of your submissions failed...

Re: Niquist ACX check nightmare
Screen Shot 2019-06-11 at 12.51.46 PM.png This is what happens when I just jam everything together for a quick test. The noise still isn't quiet enough (it juuuust passes), but, again, I didn't take any care at all when I made the test recording. I was holding everything up with my hands and my elb...

OK. I think I got first pass at this. Neewer-NW800-Boom.jpg The Neewer is a side-fire microphone. No matter what any of the ad pictures say, you should be talking into the side grill where the company name or logo is. The microphone is naturally mounted straight up or down (doesn't matter). The micr...

Re: Niquist ACX check nightmare
Much better. I need to sit in a corner with the instructions and illustrations. Right away I see that one of the illustrations for the Neewer is wrong.
Did you get an instruction manual or papers in the Neewer box?
As we go.
