Re: Making 2 clips audio interview clips sound the same

I personally would have done something about the overly crisp "Essing" in the first clip. With that correction, the two clips would blend even better, not to mention being easier to listen to. This is also a retirement project. "If we make the second track just a liiiiiitle bit crispe...

Re: Making 2 clips audio interview clips sound the same

You got insanely lucky. AUDIO WORKING-Corrected.wav There's still a pop between the two tracks. You can deal with that in simple editing. Effect > Equalization > Low Rolloff for Speech, Length about 5000 > OK. Effect > Amplify > -6dB (top number) > OK. (That's a negative 6. It's a volume reduction)....

Re: Why does Equalization effect change track pattern?

Is this where we ask you what your job is? Your equalizer settings don't seem to do any job I've ever seen before.

Re: Why does Equalization effect change track pattern?

Tone controls are intended to work like the two knobs on the front of your home music system. They're intentionally sloppy. This is a "flat" representation of white noise (all frequencies). Screen Shot 2019-06-23 at 19.47.33.png This is the same sound with Treble cranked up 6dB. Screen Sho...

Re: Why does Equalization effect change track pattern?

Our envelope tool has problems. If you want to apply an envelope correction "forever" then Tracks > Mix > Mix and Render afterwards.

Then your work turns into a regular, normal track with the corrections burned in.

Re: Why does Equalization effect change track pattern?

"Base & Treble" effect does not have this issue. It does, but the effect is broader and sloppier and harder to see. On the right is Treble boosted. Screen Shot 2019-06-23 at 12.17.48.png Also you tuned the equalizer to boost certain tones by 6dB. If your performance has those tones, y...

Re: Lost Files

When the machine deletes something, it doesn't actually remove the work. It just removes the address of the work making that address available to put new work. All file recovery programs do is make a list of all the work with no addresses. A sound show can have thousands of little AU files (and yes,...

Re: recording level too high or low, There's no gradation.

Your machine is oscillating. Your description of the problem is of a clean pure voice that snaps between too loud and too soft once as you adjust the volume with no setting possible in the middle. I hear a badly unstable sound system pounding away eight times a second. Those two are very different. ...
