Re: Can I determine the percentage of volume increase?
The formula is 20 log (v-out / v-in) . V-in is the starting sound and V-out is the end. So 2 volts going in and 3 volts going out. 1.5 .... Log ... 0.176 ... x20 .... = 3.52dB. So that's what, 150% louder? 150% of 2 volts is 3 volts. There is a real-world problem with this process. 3.5dB is a barely...

The bad sound has a signature of 50Hz which is typical for a 50 Hz power country such as Britain or India. This can be caused by a microphone with a broken shield, a connection cable with a break ...

How did you make the voice track? There is a sound adapter I call the Devil's Adapter. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=96907 Screen Shot 2019-06-28 at 19.50.19.png It seems to be a no-brainer to adapt an XLR microphone to the side of your laptop, but it will produce this wack...

..It would pass if submitted... Pretty much my comments. "It's r e a l l y close." The problem with 'really close' is no room for error. If you do anything at all wrong, you could fall off the end of acceptance. And, see, I'm not the only one that can hear a buzz back there. You mentioned...

Both. Remember, she produced two very different sound tracks on your request to help the echo problem. Also remember my comment that she gave up the kitchen studio and went back in the closet.send a photo of her set-up

Do you have Overdubbing selected?
Audacity > Preferences > Recording: [X] Overdub.
Also, you should be listening to your Yeti with headphones and have the Yeti as the Audacity playback device.
