Re: Above the centre line not equal to below
Actually, that's a good illustration how this works. This is a blowup of the sound at 1/2 second. NonsymmetricalKoz.jpg The red bar (lighter blue) is the RMS or approximate loudness and it's more or less even. The green bars are the peaks, tips and waveshapes and they are profoundly uneven. That's h...

Re: Above the centre line not equal to below
This is me on a recent sound test. See, I'm not symmetrical, either, but it's not terrible and I sound just fine—given that it's me and all.

Re: Above the centre line not equal to below
It's a good head exercise assuming you insisted on fixing it, how would we do it. It's super unusual to have filters, effects or corrections that only affect one direction of the waves. I think I could do it if there was a way to intentionally add DC offset. DC Offset is normally evil (a broken micr...

Re: Burbling distortion
it'll play anything from anywhere perfectly fine but if I open an MP3 or WAV in Audacity (one that plays fine in Foobar), Audacity distorts the playback. Your versatility may actually be the problem. Shift Audacity recording to a real microphone or other device instead of a software device you use ...

Re: Going CRAZY! Plug-in ACX check installed and enabled but won't activate!
Quick note about ACX Check . It's only the first test that ACX does to your submission. If that passes the basics, the work goes to ACX Human Quality Control where they find out that your voice is distorted and you can't read out loud. There is also a trick to preparing an ACX test. https://forum.au...

This probably isn't it, but when you placed the plugin, did you use the path with the tilde (squiggly line)?

WAAAAY sooner than the 1 week they advertised They have advanced. We can only go by past experiences. As posted several times, everybody with a pulse is trying to read for audiobooks and their corporate processes and procedures do change. If you like to experience YouTube shows, a surprising number...

Re: Above the centre line not equal to below
I'm with Trebor. I don't think that's broken. Production that old would have gone through vacuum tube amplifiers. In the same sense that someone today would buy a "Professional, Studio, Broadcast" microphone for $26, Inexpensive, affordable sound systems existed back then as well. It's per...

Re: basic newb question :advice on new project apptoach
If you want to play different versions one after the other, that's not too hard. Open the songs one above the other and use the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) and shove track two so it starts after track one. then cut or edit each track so you don't have to sit through three minutes of ...

Re: Clicks Removal Track
Can we assume this process is to patch vocal noises? If you have a broken computer, you should be fixing the computer.
