Right. So there's multiple directions because we don't have a good idea of what you already have. Fill in the holes.
It's a terrible idea to post an active email address on-line and nobody is going to call you back.

Re: laptop recording with laptop
You left out an important bit. Does the mixer have a USB connection? What's the model number? My little Peavey mixer doesn't have one and I have to use a UCA-202 analog USB adapter.

Re: Newbie's Sound Is not Going Thru to Recorder
Audacity recording before I start the music playing on the internet. You may be stuck there. Audacity won't record until it sees a digital bitstream. You can solve that in editing. Once you get a recording, place the cursor at the beginning of the song and Generate > Silence. It will ask you how lo...

Re: Mix does to Mono losing quality
I'm recording on two channels, two mics. Any details of the actual recording? There are ways to make two normal microphones do that by application accident, but there are also ways to create a bad audio cable. The bad audio cable will keep producing bad recordings one after the other. It would be g...

Re: Bit Rate
I need to up the rate to 128 or 256 bps. If you're creating audiobook work, submission to ACX should be MP3 at 192, constant bitrate, and sampling at 44100. That's the minimum quality submission. In Audacity 2.3.2, the MP3 creation software is built-in and at Export, you are given the choice of bit...

apart from the occasional crashes. Doctors have a thing they call the doorknob moment. That's when the patient, who has made it through all the medical tests perfectly well, turns with their hand on the doorknob and says, "I cough up blood every night before bed. That's not important is it?&qu...

Re: Sampling Rate/Playback Rate.
44.8khz samplerate built in to my soundcard. Can we assume that's really 48000 video rate? need to work with What does "work with" mean? there would be aliasing, but it seems to play "normally". How old are you? If you're anything past about 40 with a history of club attendance,...

Re: connecting two paths
Are they two stereo tracks (two mated blue waves) one above the other? In Audacity 2.3.2, select one track with the SELECT button on the left. The track should change color and be active. You can also use the SOLO and MUTE buttons on the left to make it so you only hear one of them at a time. One th...
