Re: Need help making a (gapless) live recording!
Audio CD doesn't have that problem, either. It gives you skip forward and back and continuous play. I don't know of a sound file format which can do that (which is what you probably want, right?) You might be able to do that in HTML. Open a show in a web browser. You can open WAV files on an iPod an...

Re: Doesn't translate MP3 to midi
Are you using this as part of a game production? I didn't know games used MIDI. Or is that the test? MIDI doesn't make any sound by itself. You have to make sure there is a MIDI keyboard or MIDI module in your game machine to make the sound. If MIDI can't find one, you're going to get an error messa...

Re: Bit perfect editing
Once you get to a comfortable zoom range, Shift+ScrollWheel will let you slide left and right. If you're gentle, you can catch all those little lumps and bumps as they go by. As you get better at it, you will start to recognize patterns. Too short. Too Short. This one looks Promising. Snoring tends ...

I snore, my cat meaows, I turn around in bed and the bed makes noises The simple noise reduction trick makes all those stick up so you can do rapid logging. This is a bookkeeping chore. Snore. Snore. Re: Noise in voice recording
It is my opinion you can get a reasonable recording out of a complete trash microphone, but you can't be a New User and you can't have a challenging environment. All three of those at once is a killer.Motorola Moto G4

Re: Noise in voice recording
That's rough. The hash changes over the course of the performance, so there's no such thing as Noise Reduction unless you wanted to take it in two or three minute chunks. Even at that, the last third may be useless. In order to get Noise Reduction to work, you have to find a chunk of the show with n...

Re: Bit perfect editing
I've done night noise tests where I took what I knew was "clean" background noise and did a simple Noise Reduction. The overall hash dipped to the point where I could find the lumps and bumps in the blue waves enough to note the times and go in later and inspect them. No gating or voice re...

Re: Noise in voice recording
I was charging the phone battery while it recorded (You can get high frequency noise from "switching type" DC power supplies and chargers) Trying to get power systems or chargers to run at wall power frequency (50/60Hz) is a pain in the neck. They're large, heavy and expensive. Much bette...
