Re: Can't record on new track
Shift+R rather than just R. That will start a new track. In your case, that may be track 3. If trying to remember the Shift key is a pain, you can change R and Shift+R around in Edit > Preferences > Recording > [X] Record On a New Track. If you're overdubbing, also remember to set [X] Play Other Tra...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
There's still the matching rule. Whatever you do to one chapter you should do to all of them. There is no individually tuning each chapter. So you gotta get this straight right at the top. And then I'll start this darn book. Then you can start the short ACX acceptance submission. https://forum.audac...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
Post something from your final environment and settings. There may still be one noise adjustment.

Oblique Microphone Placement
If the A position has too many problems, p-popping, frying S's, try B. Experiment. Make sure your volume doesn't change when you move the microphone.

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
Overall much better. Plain, ordinary noise now, no compressors or motors. I still hear it (popping) though There's tricks here, too. The grownups frown on this, but it works very well for me. Don't speak head-on into the microphone. Push the microphone in an arc to one side or move your chair so the...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
The Yeti has a place for headphones. You can clearly hear P-Popping in your live headphones and adjust your face/microphone spacing until it goes away. You need heavy, cover-the-ear headphones, not earbuds or thin "fashionable" headphones. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/lin-manuelMicro...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
Cool. The milk jug quality sound went away, but the reduction was doing something useful. I attached a short clip where I intentionally made the noise worse. Is there something in your room which could be making that nose? Are you sitting your Yeti directly on the desk? The noise could be coming up ...

Re: Is there an Orphan Block file recovery option
I'm just reading that again. 1444 block files at 6 seconds each comes out to 2.4 hours. That's all the blocks in your whole show, right? Theory has it if you moved the _DATA folder, you should be able to move it back and everything should be OK. But. If you did it while Audacity was alive and standi...

Re: Is there an Orphan Block file recovery option
If a simple move did create all that damage, then you have a lot more serious computer problems than just leaving out a few files.
How full is the drive? Are you using Cloud drives? When was the last time you did a long virus check; the one that runs all night?

Re: Is there an Orphan Block file recovery option
You can stop worrying. The show is almost 100% likely toast. It's also almost 100% likely a simple move didn't do it. This is an Audacity Project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg The AUP file is the project manager. It's a text file. When you double click it, it turns ...
