Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
We published a thing on how to use the meters. Screen Shot 2019-10-10 at 17.18.13.png Also, I don't use the standard meter sizes. They're so important, I stretch them out over the whole Audacity width. Screen Shot 2019-10-10 at 17.16.54.png The meters and tools all have drag bars and handles and you...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
The good news is the P-Popping is gone. So whatever you did to make that happen, keep doing it. Where did the volume go? It's not hard to set this. While you're announcing, the bouncing sound meter should just/occasionally tip into the yellow region. Screen Shot 2019-10-10 at 16.55.01.png When you g...

Re: Audio Sample: Noise Issues. (2.3.2)
do I use the same noise profile for each, or sample the noise from each and run the noise against that file? That was an Audacity development discussion a while back. Noise Reduction doesn't save Profile as a file. It just memorizes it. When you close Audacity, it forgets everything. The safest thi...

Re: Low Recording Volume
looks healthy during recording (between -34 and -20) That may be normal, but it's not healthy. Can you overload the sound channel? Can you make the blue waves go all the way up and make the sound meter turn red? You would never do a show in clipping and overload like that, but it should be possible...

Re: Low Recording Volume
Yamaha expects you to be able to transmit digital sound down the USB cable. Screen Shot 2019-10-10 at 7.54.20.png But then they send us to a different document..... Have you looked at this on-line PDF manual? It's unusual for a USB system, normally used for MIDI machine control on keyboards, to be a...

I believe you.I'd say, "all good media players".
I've never used either Projects or FLAC on a paying show.
I've never lost a paying show.

Re: How stable are Audacity project files?
https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audacity_projects.html It's good to back up your shows as WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit because they are perfect (uncompressed) quality and everybody on all three platforms can play them. FLAC is good and FLAC is efficient, but how many applications outside of Audacity d...

Re: [Death Metal/Goregrind] How can I make vocals sound like early Carcass?
This is where you point to an actual track, or post one, of the voices you want. Not: "Somewhere on this album," but more: "This YouTube track at 3 min and 40 seconds." Or, "This track attached." If you go the attachment route, we only support perfect quality stereo WAV...

Re: Error when saving
The Beach Ball of Death is never a good sign. That's The System signaling that something is taking way more time than allotted. Can you Edit > UNDO and get pieces of it back? If it does come back, File > Export: WAV (MIcrosoft) 16-bit and make perfect quality backups. As quickly as possible. If UNDO...
