Re: Detected missing audio data blockfiles, there is no way for audacity to recover automatically
when I try manual recover from data file, it doesnt work Manual recovery doesn't work on edited shows, compound shows or Audacity crashes. There was no system crash or deletion No, but Audacity, whose job it is to keep track of all the files and folders, crashed. Chances are good that it was gettin...

Re: New User Completely Lost
One reason there are so many conflicting ideas on the internet is the number of different connections on the side of your laptop. What happens if you Restart the Mac and then run Audacity? Does your Mac automatically connect to the int...

Re: Debugging error opening slightly older .aup files.
The internal hard drive was removed and replaced with a recommended SSD drive, presumably because it last longer and the reboots are faster. And yes - they are !! One of the Sys Ops at work and I had almost the same laptop computer. I had the SSD and he had the spinning metal drive. I had to do a t...

Re: Correcting a section
Audible (2.3.1) It's Audacity. If you're actually using Audible, then you may have a separate company version. That's allowed, but confusing. R will add work to the end of the existing track. Shift+R will make a new track. You can reverse these in Audacity > Preferences > Recording: New Track . R u...

Re: My mp3 export does not contain sound.
Open the MP3 in Audacity. Do you have blue waves, or a flat line?
There are ways to make a show which only has sound on some players but not all. Do you have waves?
