Did you slide your earbuds, earphones or headphones into the 222? Can you hear the show?
Switch monitor to ON and turn the little volume control up.
Is the USB light lit?
I know it's tempting to go right for the Big Banana, but sometimes it's good to take it step at a time.

Re: Cleaning up Line-Level to Mic-Level mistake?
That's usually fatal as is going the other way, but for different reasons. Most of that static and crashing is the camera digitizers hopelessly overloaded and making up their own sound. They're not following the show any more. A lot of that trash goes up in pitch, so Effect > Low Pass may help a lit...

Re: From 5.1 to stereo
Still, the rear two are usually taken up with Room Ambience, Echo and Reverb, the exact thing that most recording engineers spend their lives trying to avoid. So the real question is what did they do to the Center. If it's a video music show, my bet would be to follow the video shots, which might gi...

Re: From 5.1 to stereo
In your illustration, I would ignore the bottom three tracks. I would guess 3 is Center. Reduce by 6dB and add it to both tracks 1 and 2. Check for overload. That thing with the voices isn't as strange as you think. The last thing you want the audience to do is flap their heads back and forth trying...

Re: From 5.1 to stereo
There's a short-form for this. Center is usually the only channel that talks. Reduce by half (-6dB) and add it to the two main channels. It should never overload because there is no or very little voice in Main Left and Right. Check them for overload anyway. A little graceful Limiter may be called f...

Re: Limiter on Audacity
It is.
https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/limiter.html
You may have to install it on earlier Audacity versions.
This is my copy of limiter correct as of 2015.
It is a Nyquist plugin.

Re: Limiter on Audacity
There may be a permissions issue. Normal Windows doesn't let you mess around inside the application areas. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#plug-ins I think you've been here already, right? https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=325078#p325078 This might...

Re: Limiter on Audacity
I got pieces of this. Audiobook Mastering is in the Audacity on-line wiki system. https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audiobook_Mastering That's the long, inclusive version. If you're comfortable with Audacity, all you really need is the Process steps. Screen Shot 2019-10-22 at 1.13.27.png That's ver...

Re: 2.3.2.0 on Windows 10 - Blue Screen Portcls.sys Page Fault
you might consider modifying the way Windows installs updates. Which might be fraught with its own problems. It seems to be the case that Windows has two update modes: Let us do auto updates gracefully in the backgound, or, go sit in the corner while we do them whether you want us to or not. In any...
