You might consider preparing MP3s for the performers and audience before you start these corrections as you may be doing them for a long time.

Re: Editing and improving chamber choir recordings
It is very highly recommended that you save WAV copies of all the work in a safe place. You don't want to be the person who made an audio correction and the computer went into the mud... and took the show with it . This being said, one could maybe increase the overall loudness I did exactly that to ...

Re: Audio distorted and ruined after export
That's clear. Is it a stereo show? Two blue waves when you get done? I know you record in mono, but you don't have to post it that way. Cut down from a show, or, shoot a fresh ten second test that has this problem, Export it as WAV (Microsoft), 16-bit and post it on the forum. Use conversational wor...

Re: Audio distorted and ruined after export
Details are good. For example, are you using Voicemeter (as in your post) or Voicemeeter, an actual program, or even Voicemeeter Banana which last I checked is the recommended program depending on your show. Does Voicemeeter have versions? I know it's hard to think clearly while you're pulling your ...

Re: Audio distorted and ruined after export
Where is the "we" and why are you using Voicemeeter? You're not recording a simple spoken word podcast, are you? You're involving multiple folded sound pathways and other people.we sound canned
So now describe the show again including those details.

Re: Rec mode
jack out form smartphone We can start there. The jack on a smartphone isn't for headphones. It's for a headset , microphone and one or two earpieces. You can record that way, but you have to hit the right adapter. Screen Shot 2019-10-28 at 19.23.19.png From the tip leftward: Left, Right, Microphone...

Re: Why are all my mp3s i-tunes files?
Right-Click (or Control+Click) one of the files > Get INFO. Somewhere down near the bottom of all that should be an Open With: setting. You can choose any app you like. I use Audacity. Screen Shot 2019-10-28 at 18.42.35.png And no, it's not an iTunes file. I'm guessing you have filename extensions h...

Re: Noise Gate Enabled But Not Showing [Win 10 - Aud 2.3.2]
How about maximum effects per group was set to a number? Or Audacity thinks it's set to a number.
Correct me, but this is a unicorn problem. One off—first I've heard of it. What about Windows 10 or an install glitch could cause that?

Re: Editing and improving chamber choir recordings
Open one of the performances. Effect > High Pass Filter: Frequency 20Hz, Roll-Off 12dB > OK. EarthquakeFilter.png That will get rid of the earthquake tones. Recorder error??? It's pretty common. Download ChoiraCapella.xml (attached). ChoiraCapella.XML Effect > Equalization > Save/Manage Curves... > ...

Re: Editing and improving chamber choir recordings
Is there anything else you could recommend to try out? No. When you started your post I imagined the performances in my head and that's exactly what the samples sounded like. It's not unusual for people to assume they need to apply tons of effects, filters and corrections. If you accurately capture...
