Re: Option to remove prompt when shutting a new unsaved project
Folding back to the top. If you save or export anything in Photoshop, special internal format or not, it assumes that was the goal and just closes. If you make no changes, it just closes. If you make any change it warns you. Screen Shot 2019-11-04 at 17.57.36.png That seems perfectly rational. Alway...

That's sibilance and you can suppress it with a DeEsser plugin. The only downside I've ever found is the DeEsser tool is absolute. It's up to you to get the work within range of the tool, or know where the work is so the tool can be adjusted to find it. There is no "Go find the Essing and call ...

Re: Find a audio clip in a file
No, because unlike matching the letter "A," (ascii 65 in decimal), sound doesn't have an identity stamp. If you make an oboe player play their A several times, they will all be slightly different. Searching for something that might fuzzy match approximately this "A" tone is what ...

Re: Audacity is NOT recording after pressing the record button
We need a lot more than just "it doesn't work." What are you recording? What's the show or production? If it's a microphone, what kind and what's the model number? Audacity will stop recording when the thing it's recording from stops being visible. This can happen when your on-line service...

Re: When recording I get loud hiss noise
One other note. Audacity does not apply effects, filters or corrections during recording. It just records what the computer sends it. So your machine is actually doing all that.

Re: When recording I get loud hiss noise
You have a lot of problems. That ringing or singing means you are recording and playing at the same time and that's feedback similar to a club when the band gets their microphones up too loud. Eeeeeee___eeeeeeeeEEEEEE. If you can hear typing very loud, then you are probably using the laptop built-in...

AUDIO-TECHNICA ATR2100 Is this the microphone that's both XLR and USB? Did you use an analog XLR adapter into your soundcard? https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=96907 You have a stereo recording, right? Two blue waves? Are they up-and-down mirror images of each other (a little ...

Re: Issue with a hiss/whine in the background of some recordings
I think this is one of Josh's originals. It's got a lot of echo and reverb, but still. It's him and an H2. Currently at over nine million views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5SC1uIxXhk I do have an H4, no "n". I think it's reached end of life. It has system noises the last time I tried...
