Re: Unable to save, every time i try to reinstall error code 0x80030070

Thanks for the clear illustration. /Users/Public ?? That and Audacity.lnk ?? I don't think those are normal (I'm not a Windows elf). The ".lnk" makes me think it's not installing to where you think it is (a link is a pointer to somewhere else) and /Users/Public is not a valid machine locat...

Re: Sheet Music Notes

Aren't you describing a MIDI sequencer? Musical Instrument Digital Interface . I'm pretty sure I could play my musical keyboard along with existing MIDI music in Cakewalk and I could display the work in notes and staff on the screen if I wanted. MIDI isn't actually sound like Audacity and other edit...

Re: Take out a cough while someone else is talking

Speak the words and record at the same time to get the timing close assuming the shot is your face while you're asking. If it's not, so much the better. You can use background n...

Re: audacity reading missing files as orphaned

the "lost/missing" files are in the project data folder, right where they're supposed to be That's only half the act. The AUP Project Manager text file has to know they're there and how to manage them. If the AUP file is damaged, it may stop looking for those sound files. There's no good ...

Re: ACX Dang that noise floor

No casual home user ever passes ACX Noise. It's severe. -60dB means background noise has to be 1000 times quieter than your voice.
Ch 6 Raw background noise is 100 times quieter than your voice.

The second longest post in forum history is by Bruno in Portugal. He wanted to record Flamenco guitar on his computer. That was the whole job. 18 forum chapters over three and a half months.

Re: ACX Dang that noise floor

We can continue to troubleshoot with you. The forum record is Ian who just wanted to record audiobooks from his apartment in Hollywood. 39 forum chapters and over a year. I forget his name, but the one before that was a guitar performer who just wanted to record his Flamenco music. We replaced his m...

Re: ACX Dang that noise floor

I read somewhere that the allow you to re-submit a book only once. That's a little severe, but it wouldn't surprise me. Typically, they only complain about one thing whether your presentation has multiple problems or not. It's not their job to troubleshoot your studio. We should note the alternativ...
