Re: Echo/beep recurring issue
Side note. I applied Audiobook Mastering and your clip easily passes ACX Conformance. Screen Shot 2021-05-06 at 8.55.10 AM.png This is after removing the mosquitoes, AudioBook Mastered, and I removed some of the harsh SS sounds with the DeSibilator. Sample-Mosquito-Mastered-Desibilated.mp3 Koz

Re: Echo/beep recurring issue
This is a tool we developed for a slightly different problem. There are just enough similarities that it appears to work. It's a custom plugin called Mosquito Killer — because the original problem sounded like frying mosquitoes. Engineers are not particularly right-brain creative. Mosquito-Killer4.n...

Re: Echo/beep recurring issue
Any help in labeling what this is would be greatly appreciated. A quiet, high-pitch "tee tee tee tee?" It took me a while to find it. On first pass it just sounded like you reading a story. It's been described as "beeping." Again, at first pass, I couldn't make out what the prob...

Re: Missing Audio Data Block Files
Audacity 3.0.2 will successfully open shows from the earlier Project format. That's not the problem. Being missing one of the AU files means you're going to have a 6-second hole in the show. That's not the problem. Chances are really good that the AUP project manager file is damaged and that means y...

Re: Audio recording quality in Audacity
It does bother me you're being forced into using Audacity because your commercial audio program failed. Find out why. I don't mind being the Desperation Method as much as I mind not knowing.am unable to get my microphone working in Cubase.

Re: Audio recording quality in Audacity
Audacity doesn't apply filters, effects, or corrections during recording. As long as the computer is up to the job and doesn't add dropouts, noise, or effects of its own, it should be good to go. Restart the machine and make sure Skype, Zoom, and other chat programs don't start. Visit the Windows co...

Re: My hand made vocal booth and voice test
an electronic device, they can make noise. That's not electronic communication and the phone is not receiving or placing a call. That's the screen doing that. Screens are wire meshes with data signals racing back and forth to turn each pin-point of light (pixel) on and off. Any electrical activity ...

Re: Reducing booming
You might ask the Producer when is constant haggling and messing with marginal sound worth getting a proper studio and ditching the polished hardwood floor and rich wooden paneling. Sound without the picture is a radio show. Picture without the sound is a rehearsal. That's not to say there are no wa...

Re: My hand made vocal booth and voice test
I do have a caution. I read from paper, but if you choose (As 100% of normal people do) to read from an electronic device, they can make noise.
