Re: Harsh noices

When was the last time you shut down your Mac? I don't mean Restart . I mean Apple > Shutdown ... wait a bit and then Start . Listen for the Chong. While it was shutting down, did you get a spinning white daisy for a long time? Still broken? Is this your first song? Do you have a lot of recordings a...

Re: Trying to even out volume in recording with multiple speakers

You should shoot for no effects or corrections in a live performance. If you don't get there, you will be applying corrections forever. Constant correction is a time waster plus the possibility of posting errors.

Re: recording from iPhone to audacity

I can think of a way to do this with hardware, but not a single cable. I have a Behringer UCA-202 USB adapter which has good analog record and playback connections. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo-650.jpg Plug a cable such as below into the UCA-202 in place of my soundmixer...

Re: recording from iPhone to audacity

I would send you to the instructions for your MBP. My MacBook Air has a clearly labeled headphone socket and I don't think I can record that way. As above, my older MBPs have a clearly labeled stereo recording socket. In general, your one socket is trying to be at least two different things; stereo ...

Re: recording headphone audio with a dell inspiron

Most people don't actually want speaker or headphone sound because in general, it means the sound has gone all the way out to analog and come back, picking up distortions along the way, and you're a slave to the volume settings. Usually, you can have comfortable listening, good recording, but not bo...

Re: Audacity crashing frequently and Recovery fails EVERY TIME

If you have to post multiple pages of text, Copy the original work, select the code tag </> from the forum tool bar and Paste. That will present it in abbreviated form so it doesn't take over the look of the forum page. Let me read this back to you: Audacity crashes all the time but lately, it's got...
