Re: Recording won't start on pressing Record button
I am using a USB plug-in device It might pay to learn more about that. I think you can do that trick with a simple Behringer UCA202. Strap the Line-Ins to the Line-Outs and then use the UCA202 as both playback (from YouTube) and recording (to Audacity). That will also give you the problem of two di...

Re: Batch Concatenate MP3s (stripping long pauses)
How long are the supplied pauses and how long do they need to be? Are the supplied pauses "clean?" Do they drop to absolutely no sound, or do they have hummy, buzzy, shuffling, background sound, Room Tone in the pauses? One of the problems with automating a "Dirty" (noisy) track,...

Re: Help Please
That's not good news. A normal AUP file contains a semi-English programming language. It's the show manager. It's supposed to look like this. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/aupFileGraphic-redbox.jpg The show name is burned into it. That's the little red box up at the top-right. Yours looks ...

Re: Can't enable Equalization Plugin
I'm not perfectly clear what you're doing, but the old Effect > Equalization now is two different tools. Effect > Filter Curve Effect > Graphic Eq Graphic Eq is the tool with the home music system sliders for each pitch of sound. Up is louder. Filter Curve displays the pitch tones along the bottom a...

Re: re-recorded in the middle of recording and voice doesn't match
Did you keep a WAV of the original work so you have something to fall back on if the patch doesn't work? If you're in Windows, did you turn off all the Windows Enhancements before you started the project? Left on its own, Windows will try to patch your voice into communications or conferencing quali...

If you do get bumped, please post the whole rejection note. They usually go to some trouble explaining what happened and possible solutions. That's how we know what they're thinking enough to tell forum posters what to expect.

Re: New Feature Request: A "NEVER Change My Device" Setting
More recently, I've been using a Zoom H5 for my recording medium. I also have a Zoom Q2n ... It's also a recommendation of the forum that if you have a lot of trouble recording on the computer, stop recording on the computer. A significant portion of forum help is directed at helping people force t...

I'm amazed you got attempt-1 to work that well. We'll see what the others think.

Re: ACX Check says Noise Floor is OK, but QA says No
There is another oddity about this. They generally complain about the worst problem. They might mention it if you have more than one problem. Again, it's not their job to fix your studio. They might also complain if your noise is too good. That's why we need to see their note. That's very different ...

This is a little bit of a saga but I'll keep it simple. Behold Ian. He holds the record for longest forum posting. 39 forum chapters and over a year. He simply wanted to read audiobooks from his apartment in Hollywood. We did eventually get him going. I have moved since then There was a recent post...
