Never "clean up" or change anything before the final export or show. This is a big problem over in video land. "I'll just get rid of all these temporary files to free up space before my final layoff to tape."

Audacity has a Preferences file where it keeps track of all that stuff. We had all manner of troubles on a Linux install of Audacity until one of the Systems Operators figured this out and prevented it from being constantly overwritten and damaged. I'm betting that file didn't make it on the drive--...

Sorry. Missed one. After you get the unstuffed file, put it somewhere you'll remember and then tell Audacity where it is. [Audacity, Preferences, File Formats, MP3 Export Setup, Find Library.] I try to keep a file with all the installers and keys so it's easy to back up. I put the library there. Koz
