Re: Can't play MP3 in all versions Of Windows Media Player

<<<Codec Pack>>>

Did you read the comments? I don't know that I would be installing a shaky software package to solve problems in two other packages one of which may easily be hostile to what you're trying to do.

Re: Recording level

<<<I'm on windows XP and recording from my soundcard>>>

Doesn't tell me enough. What do you have plugged into the sound card? Microphone, iPod, USB Turntable?

Re: Can't get audio output through Digi 001

There is a posting in this Mac section of someone who has a Digi 002 and she can't get it to work, either.

It was recommended that they try this:

Re: Want to make older music sound better..what should I do?

<<<Background Noise>>> Yeah, that made all the difference. I could tell that the basic sound track wasn't damaged. No clipping (it came close, but no) and all the instruments sounded more or less OK given that they were recorded in 1960. Dropping out the noise turned the track from AM radio under a ...

Re: Recording Cuts Out

That can happen when Audacity runs out of room to put the capture files. How full are your hard drives? It can also happen when the system can't keep up with the data. How powerful is the machine? If you're on a PC, when was the last time you defragmented your hard drive? If you're on a Mac, don't w...

Re: wireless recording

I use Total Recorder for the PC and WireTap Pro on my Mac. (you didn't say what kind of computer you have). Both programs "capture" the show going through your computer and can turn it into a sound file which you then edit in Audacity. They both have timed recording functions so you don't ...

Popular place. Either they went down for maintenance (unlikely in the middle of the day in most of the US) or they got slash-dotted.

I'll believe it when I get the files in my hands.

Re: Lost file on mac

Didn't Audacity complain that you hadn't saved your work? All of ours do. You know you can search for files, but did you know you can search for file dates, too? Select the hard drive you think is the hero and and press Apple-F. Open up Any Date and type the creation date of your missing files in th...

Re: Audacity Tripping Out !?!?

<<<not using my internal mic to record things on quicktime>>> No, but that's the diagnostic mode. Audacity is standing on QuickTime services. If QuickTime can't see the satellite, then Audacity will be helpless. If all programs can see the built-in microphone but only some programs can see the satel...
