Re: Recording internet radio

I think that was a PC person who wandered into the wrong forum. PCs have the ability to reverse the sound pathways like that. We, at least on these machines don't--or at least not easily. <<<remove a sound snip that I was able to record.>>> This is the pipeline: Record something in Audacity. Export ...

Re: Recording internet radio

<<<set audacity to "wave out mix" >>>

How does someone on Mac OS-X do that?

Even if I did get that to work, how do I set it up to record the BBC "My Word" from WHRO streaming next Saturday?

Re: File Recovery Utility Error

Did you try stopping Audacity and moving the files back where they were?

Re: How to remove the background noise

<<<I had recorded some old cassettes (containing SPEECHES) using a tape recorder and Audacity on my computer. >>> OK, the cassette part I got and the Audacity part I got. How many machines are we talking about and what were they doing? My first reaction is no. Audio tools do not recover "barely...

No fealty, no homage, no registration.

Were you administrators or normal users when you installed the program? Do you have multiple users on your machines? Did your virus program complain during the installation?

Re: Recording internet radio

<<<or set up a recording day, time and station>>>

And that's the part that makes it complicated.

My personal favorite is WireTap Pro.

<<<very easy to get that "hall sound" out of a piece that sounds "boxed in" thanks a bunch mate! >>> You know that's all intentional, right? It's purposely recorded flat so it sounds right when it's projected into a large movie theatre. Yes, I suppose adding "Concert Hall&qu...

Re: exported files are padded with extra space

<<<strange sample rates>>> I personally might have mentioned that a little earlier. If you have non-standard input files, lame is going to have no idea what to do. Audacity might freak as well. I would download lame as a stand-alone encoder and run it manually with appropriate commands to match your...

Re: Using the Effects

I think I would personally pick Effects, Equalization, rather than try to deal with a preset tool. Select your show and open Effects, Equalization. You can load the predefined curves (there are a lot of them) or you can do it by hand. Every time you click on that blue line it forms a "node"...
