None of my Audacities have "Export to FLAC.."
How did you do that? What Audacity version are you using?

Re: Audacity keeps crashing out
They warn you that extra plugins can cause problems.
Can you move all of your downloaded plugins to someplace where Audacity can't find them and see if the crashing doesn't go away or change?

You can correct that with the L-R pan controls to the left of the Audacity track before you export for the final show file. You might also be able to correct that with the Windows Audio Panels. I believe each sound channel has a pan control.

<<<I don't actually know what a VST enabler is, so I'm not sure if I have one. Where ould I look to find out? >>> In the Audacity PlugsIns folder, look for a file called vst-bridge or something like that. I'm guessing cross-platform now. That's the file that makes using extra VST plugins work. It's ...

Re: All audio running slowly when Audacity is opened
<<<when I launch Audacity>>> But only after you launch Audacity? As long as you don't do that, everything is fine? Which Audacity? What is your processor speed? How much memory, how big is the hard drive and how much room do you have left? Are you using the sound on the motherboard, or a separate so...

Re: Preferences selection closes program
I swear this is a historical problem, but I can't find it in the face of intense searching. A very very early version of Audacity did that, but that was a great many moons ago. Which Windows? How much hard drive space do you have and have left? Did you notice crashing after you installed new plugins...

Re: super bad latency to headphones
The words are escaping my lips, "Stop using a computer instead of a field recorder which doesn't do that." Yes you have a rock-crusher machine with sun-kissed highlights, but how much of that horsepower is devoted to the audio system? I'm betting not much. Nobody goes out to buy a computer...

Re: Need help recording from my mixer
All that stuff is set in the Preferences panels. Let's see this is Windows, so yours would be Edit, Preferences, Quality. It's two different numbers. 48K (48,000) analog audio samples per second resulting in any value you can represent by 16 computer bits. Generally, the more of each the better. CD ...

<<<I'm not sure if this would accoumplish what you want>>> What he wants is scrubbing and so do I, divorced from any other problem. That and Easy In and Easy Out markers are in my Feature Request further down the forum. This list look familiar? Post a "Hazaa" down there if you agree. This ...

Re: 1.2.6 is compatible with which OSX version?
We have OS-X 10.4.10 running on two machines one G5 and one G4. Audacity 1.2.4 is on one and 1.2.6 on the other. They both work correctly. You really need to pay attention to the Power PC/Intel split. That's where you get into trouble. I wouldn't run "Univesal" software if I could find the...
