Mine play fine in iTunes. When you made your MP3, did you select "More Compatible" ID3 tag? The default is "More Flexible" and iTunes may not like that.

Re: Audacity Messed Up My Sound On Whole Computer
Audacity shows up in my Windows 2000 Add/Remove programs. Did you have any trouble installing it? When was the last time you updated your virus signatures? System Scan? Did you get Audacity from the SourceForge web site? http://audacityteam.org/ And are you sure you're running the 1.2.x stable versi...

Re: The Audacity cursor
I never noticed that because I do all my production in Cool Edit 2000. Yeah, the windows one is seriously off time. The Mac version doesn't even try to keep up which is startling because that one has a relatively powerful processor. Adobe Audition, anyone? That's what Cool Edit Pro turned into. Koz

Re: Audacity Messed Up My Sound On Whole Computer
First step is always to restart your machine, don't launch Audacity and see if the other players are still bad.
Is your hard drive filling up? Right click on the c: drive and select properties. An audio production machine should never be over 90% full.
Which Windows?

I'm having a little trouble reading the pink words, so could you use black for a while? PlzKThnx. I would use a very simple sound or song until you get the hang of how to set the numbers. I posted a simple piano trill that I use for sound tests. It's at the bottom of this page. http://www.kozco.com/...

Oh, beans. I'm not good with those problems. Did you go from Windows XP to Windows Vitsa? Or Windows 2000 to Windows XP? Somebody else wrote how to get around that problem. I'll see if I can locate it.

Re: Nebie Having Trouble
I didn't see the CD authoring program mentioned. You can't just drag music files over to a blank CD and burn. You have to use a music CD "burning" or authoring program. It will open and ask you which music files you would like included on your CD. Usually there is a little thermometer whic...

Re: Monitoring Recording level
Let's see if you didn't just accidentally step outside the normal signal flow. If you press the red Record button during a performance, the red bouncing lights on the right start running and the blue waveform starts building itself, right? Then, if you press stop, and click inside the red meters, th...

Re: Automator Actions for Audacity
I haven't actually requested this yet, but this is a cousin to my desire that Audacity have a timer function. Record anything on the Line In connecton between 1pm and 2pm.
I've never used Automator.

<<<did you pay for the full version?>>> I have a full license for WireTap Pro. There is a free version, but I found they left off too many things that I needed. I will probably pop for the full Studio Upgrade since I'm already half-way there. I liked the fact that they had a timer which Audacity doe...
