Re: Installing Plugs - On Mac

You scrambled the installation. Blow away everything you did but save the download .dmg or.zip file. If you destroyed it, go back up online and get it again. Create a fresh empty folder called Audacity and drag that into your /Application folder. Uncompress the download file into its little drive ic...

Re: No Sound

<<<I cannot hear anything when recording>>>

That's normal.

<<<...or playing back.>>>

That's not.

Does your machine "Chong" when you turn it on? Can you hear iTunes or YouTube? Does your volume control "Boink" when you change it?

Re: Issue with Audacity 1.26 and Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard

We'll see if anyone else posts with this problem.

You can always roll back your machine to an earlier OS and use it that way. You did keep a System Disk Image somewhere in case of upgrade problems, right? Earlier OS install disks? Some kind of System backup?

Re: Audacity is recording my windows sounds?

Do you have a forum-related question like requesting a change to the order of the forum windows or admiration of the color of the graphics? If you have an Audacity Windows question, it should probably go up in the Windows portion under the version of Audacity you're using. That makes it a lot easier...

Re: ECHO

Select the part you want to echo. Edit, Select, All.

Effect, Echo.

Try .25 for both numbers.

Try changing the Decay to .5.

"Delay" gives you a bigger or smaller room, "Decay" changes the furniture, drapes, and carpet in the room.

Re: Export Problem

The video people don't like Western Digital very much.

For safety, you have the finals on two different hard drives, right?

Re: Effects & Analyze Menu Greyed out!

This will be fixed in the next version of the program, but Audacity defaults to having all of its tools gray. Select something (anything) in the timeline and the tools will all come back to life.

Re: Audacity Plugin Help

<<<the plug-in file for Audacity, but that didn't do the trick.>>> It may not if the PlugIn Folder is in the wrong place. It's critical that the Audacity.exe executable program file and the Plug-Ins folder are in the same place. You may need to force Windows to show you File Extensions to straighten...
