Re: crate project with au files

Something got damaged. Are you up to editing the AUP file by hand? You can. Open With and choose TextEdit. The project file is an XML text file and a lot of it is in English. You will pass an entry that looks like this: ====================================== <pcmaliasblockfile summaryfile='b00000.au...

<<<what do you recommend I use as a lens cleaner?>>>

Eastman Kodak lens cleaner. But I wouldn't drink too much of that. That may greatly increase your awareness of the nearest men's room.

Re: slowing down tracks for editing

We'll put that down to somebody else who wants scrubbing. Scrubbing is when you pull your cursor back and forth with the mouse and the song plays at that speed. If you drag really slow, the sooooooong plaaaaaays reeeeeeeeally sloooooow. The short answer is no because it's really hard to program scru...

Re: To record/convert cassette to mp3 connections..

Sound comes from a standard phono turntable distorted according to the RIAA curve. No bass. One of the jobs of a Phono Preamp is to straighten out the curve and amplify the music. After that happens, it delivers a Line Level signal to the Line In connection of your digital converter or Line In of yo...

Re: Put onto a CD

If you mean make a music CD, then you need an authoring program. Windows Media 11 can burn a music CD, but if you don't have that, you need to buy an authoring program. I use Easy CD Creator and Nero Burn and one other I can't think of the name.

You can use Windows iTunes.

Only if you happened to be a polished nickel electrical connection, but you're right, I haven't actually tried it. Can I borrow some of yours?

Re: Recording Phone calls

I changed my tune because of this: <<<But I'm pretty sure plugged the jack into the right side of the DSL filter (the little box) because it was the same side I unhooked the phone from.>>> If you have high speed DSL on your phone line (I do) then you have those little filters you need to use to prev...

Re: not recording anymore, system resources?

<<<was working great untill a few days ago.>>> Working great? No distortion or fuzzy audio? The line output of a mixer is roughly 1000 times higher than the microphone input of a sound card. That doesn't usually work very well. This is considered an analog transfer, by the way. It may digital ones a...

Will somebody please start a new thread? Piling on to an existing question makes the thread impossible to follow.
