I've never heard of this problem before, so you have a unique situation. You know Audacity will allow you to run 1.2.x and 1.3.x on the same machine? 1.3.x is "beta" software, but many people find they can run that when the earlier version won't. 1.4 stable version is on the horizon. Koz
