Re: Telling Audacity to stop recording
Audacity version 1.2.x has no timers. You might look into the 1.3 version of the program. I don't know anything about that one except it has a lot more features and is the base program for the forthcoming 1.4 release. You can load both 1.2.x and 1.3.x on your machine at the same time. (Although I wo...

Re: Record show only Left channel
It would be good to know a little more about your system since that kind of problem is caused by different things depending on which turntable you bought. Audacity wakes up from first birthday in Mono--single audio channel. Did you change that in the Audacity Preferences before you started? (From me...

<<<I'm so fried from trying to figure this out >>> Sometimes that's all we do. "Did you remember to plug it in?" "Oh, for [email protected]#$%." There's such a thing as being too close to the problem. Don't hesitate to post questions. We like the ones where the user has done all the legwork up ...

Re: The CD won't play on Bose Acoustic Wave
On Macs, the CD authoring process is handled through iTunes. Prepare the music in as high a quality as you can, breaking up the tracks as much as you think you need to; see Waxy. Open the track(s) in iTunes, create a new playlist and burn the playlist to a CD. That's the difference between creating ...

Re: Audio disappears in middle of audio track
This just reeks of somebody that put a short Music CD passage into the Project and then took the CD out of the machine hours later and didn't connect the two events. "Hey! My Britney Spears clip vanished! How is that possible?" That's why we need to identify exactly where the clips came fr...
Re: Delay?
<<<Does anyone recognize this?>>> Sure. I'm guessin' the digital clock in your sound card is off leading to digitizing errors over time. The solution is to play the drum track on something analog and re-record that to your machine using the same digital pathway that you use for the live guitar perfo...

Re: Search waveform and replace
I'm goin' with no. I don't know any software package that can recognize words that didn't start out doing that such as Dragon Voice Recognition or Strictly Speaking--and they're not audio editors.
Maybe this is one for the New Features section of the forum.

Re: More LameLIB Troubles...
<<<OS 10 PCC>>> Let's try not to use shortcuts until we get this resolved. I have no idea what that means. If you run OS-X 10.4.x on a PowerPC G4, you should be running Audacity 1.2.4 or 1.2.6 for the PowerPC. Then download LameLib-Carbon.sit and unstuff it (which may happen automatically). Then Aud...
