Your Mac is probably set to play back through the Edirol and not the built-in speakers or the Headphone/Line-Out. Can you export your show as a WAV instead of MP3? If neither one works, it's not the problem of the MP3 module.

Chances are you have a damaged MP3 program. It's not awful to download the program (Windows DLL I think) again and reinstall it.
