Re: That first file is a doosy!

I'm suffering from caffeine deficiency right now, but there is something about the first marker has to be before the first note of the first song, not at the junction of song one and song two.

Re: Error Message!!!

Your Mac is probably set to play back through the Edirol and not the built-in speakers or the Headphone/Line-Out. If you open up the Mac preferences and set the default output to one of those two, I bet the messages go away. We are all hoping Audacity 1.4.x gets here soon as 1.2.x has trouble with U...

Almost enough information.

If you select Apple > About this Mac, What does the Processor entry say?

<<<Audacity would only record for the time selected.>>>

I didn't think Audacity 1.2.x had timers. Where do you set that?

Re: 1hr time limit recording cassettes?I'm new...help!

I don't think this is a silly problem...yet. This is where you post a list of your machine specs. Which Windows, Hard Drive Size, How full, Memory, etc. etc? Exactly which Audacity. Go into Audacity Preferences and tell us the first two quality numbers. 44100, 16? When you exported the 12 minute cap...

One other piece. What was the Radio Shack part number of the unit you bought? 42-172?

Re: It worked, finally.....but

<<<if you're plugging into a $20 sound card I doubt that you would notice much difference.>>> We're not. We're plugging it into the Mac Line-In which in my experience works very well. Please don't confuse a PC Mic-In connection with audio. I've never seen one of those that was any better than trash....

Re: It worked, finally.....but

<<<I got the above cable and pre-amp, but the pre-amp doesn't have a connection for the ground wire. What should I connect it to?>>> It's possible that it's going to work without it. The original design was for use in large metal grounded sound systems which haven't worked that way in years. Make a ...

Re: Trouble with exporting MP3s

Can you export your show as a WAV instead of MP3? If neither one works, it's not the problem of the MP3 module.

Chances are you have a damaged MP3 program. It's not awful to download the program (Windows DLL I think) again and reinstall it.

Re: Help With Chipmunk Vocals?

Yes, that turntable will rotate at two different speeds. Can you make it worse? Can you make it really trashy if you play your records at 45, or does it not change? I'm looking at a broken speed change button on the turntable and it's stuck in 45. Most of these turntables are remarkably cheap since ...
